About the Green Security facility dashboard
The Green Security facility dashboard is a place where facility employees can manage facilities and complete tasks like checking in vendors and visitors, managing appointments, checking vendor credentials, and running reports.
Facility employees can be one of two user types:
- Facility users: manage only one facility
- System users: manage multiple facilities and can switch between system and individual facility dashboards by selecting Change System View. Learn more about switching between dashboards.
Your user type is determined when you initially register as a facility employee user and select the facility or facilities you manage.

Registering and setting up your account
You need to complete two main tasks when you get started as facility employee:
Contact your facility for specific guidance on configuring your account settings.
Working with vendors
Green Security's main product is vendor credentialing, so most tasks in the dashboard involve vendors, not visitors. Vendors are registered representatives with approved facility credentials. They check in at facilities through Green Security's vendor system.
Visit the Working with vendors section to learn how to complete tasks related to vendor management, like:
- Finding a vendor
- Viewing vendor credentials
- Checking in a vendor
- Running and downloading reports for vendor credential status or vendor scan history
Working with visitors
Green Security facilitates visitor credentialing in addition to vendor credentialing. Visitors are third parties that are not registered vendors and have no existing facility credentials. Visitors might be people visiting patients in the hospital, non-registered vendors ("vendor guests"), and non-registered contractors ("contractor guests"). All of these people fall under the category of visitor. They check in through the visitor system.
Visit the Working with visitors section to learn how to complete tasks related to visitor management, like:
Using appointments
Appointments are a way for vendors to request access to visit a facility at a specific time or for a duration of time. Most facilities require vendors to have confirmed appointments to enter the facility, even if the vendor is fully credentialed and approved.
When a vendor needs to visit a facility, they can request an appointment with a person or department. The facility can also initiate the appointment with the vendor. The appointment must be accepted by the facility staff before the vendor can successfully check in and enter the facility.
See the Appointments help section to learn how to request an appointment with a vendor, respond to an appointment request from a vendor, and subscribe to your Green Security calendar in your own calendar app.
