Expedited credentialing guarantees that a vendor's credentials will be reviewed within 24 hours of submission. Without expedited credentialing, review takes two to five business days.

Below are a few common questions about expedited credentialing.

How can I expedite credentials?

During initial vendor registration, you have the option to purchase the Emerald plan or a 24-hour Day Pass for expedited credentialing.

If you already have a Green Security subscription, after you submit a credential you'll see options to purchase Emerald or a Day Pass to get your credential approved faster.

You can also upgrade to Emerald in your vendor account at any time by going to Credentials, select the Subscription tab, and then select Get Emerald.

Why is there a fee for expedited credentials?

If a vendor needs immediate access to a facility, what steps should they take?

A vendor can expedite one or more credentials to be reviewed within 24 hours of submission. Make sure to inform the facility manager at the facility you want to visit that you've submitted your request.

Can a background check be expedited?

No, unfortunately background checks cannot be expedited because they're more in-depth and require more time and effort to complete. Background checks are usually completed in at least two business days or more depending on each individual case. Background checks also do not automatically renew and must be completed every year.

Are the expedited fees collected eligible for shareback?

No, because these additional fees are allocated to cover the costs of our swift and thorough expedited review process.
