My vendors don't want to enter their social security numbers.
A social security number is required for the background screening, which is a mandatory credential requirement. The SSN is encrypted in motion and at rest, and it's also removed from our system after the screening is completed.
Can I expedite my vendors' background checks?
No, background checks cannot be expedited by anyone.
Why was a vendor's credential declined?
If a credential has been declined, the vendor and/or the company manager will receive an email from Green Security explaining why, depending on how email settings are configured.
You can also check a vendor's credential status in your company manager dashboard by selecting the vendor and then selecting the Credentials tab. In the Status column, credentials with a "Declined" status display a note about why the credential was declined.
Here are some common reasons vendor's credentials are declined:
- The vendor's name is not on the document
- The document is expired
- The vendor uploaded the wrong document
- The document was not an accepted file type (DOC, DOCX, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, PDF)
- The vendor does not have two vaccine doses or immunity (MMR, Varicella)

When do hard badges ship?
Vendors will receive an email when their hard badge ships. Badges are shipped via USPS mail within 10 business days.
If a hard badge hasn't shipped yet, this could be due to the following reasons:
- One or more of the vendor's credentials has not been submitted or approved. Check that all required credentials have been submitted.
- The vendor has not chosen a hard badge type, made a payment, and filled out the hard badge credential and submitted it for review.
How do I order a new badge for a vendor?
In your company manager account, select the vendor who needs a new hard badge, and then select the Credentials tab. Find the Hard Badge credential and select the edit icon , and then select Need a New Hard Badge?
Hard badge replacements cost $30.
